Pretty Good Food
We recently went to Ruchi Palace which opened in the same complex as the new India Bazar (this seems to have become a new Desi Hub). They are still in the process of setting up. We had their lunch buffet and they had a good spread for lunch with 3 areas (veg, non-veg and appetizers/deserts).
There was a good mix of North Indian, South Indian, Indian Chinese and also good variety of vegetarian and non-veg things. We like the mutton curry, chicken tikka. Overall, I think the meal was good. The service was reasonably quick too.
What was not so good was
- Their lighting was very dim and it was not a good and pleasing environment. I like a well lit restaurant.
- Their plates and bowls are quite small and its tough to put many things on the plate.
- This used to be a sports bar so some of the tables have high bar stools and for some reason they wanted to put a 4 year old on that and I had to ask them to give us a proper table.
As of Nov 2009, they are giving a buy 1-get 1 free coupon for their buffets so take advantage if you want to try it out.
