Taste of India
Tried this restaurant for the first time. Prides itself as being the only Indian restaurant in Cebu. Owner Mr Lalwani told us he grows some of his own spices and herbs (e.g. for Methi dishes) and uses proper imported Basmati rice. Food is very tasty and they will cook to your taste (very mild to very hot). On the second floor of a shopping mall, the restaurant is open 5 p.m to 5 a.m. and has a Karaoke element (in the early hours) with an open terrace. The seats are very hard and the atmosphere is very basic, but we really enjoyed the food, although the Naan bread was a little flat and undercooked. The chicken curry was delicious, the mutton masala was excellent, the 'deluxe' basmati and nuts rice was super and the raita was very good. Overall, satisfied and we will go back.
